The 24th Santa Catarina Footwear Industry Week (SEINCC), which took place on September 23rd and 24th, in São João Batista/SC, yielded positive results for ten companies from the collective of the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear, and Artifacts (Assintecal). According to the entity’s report, more than R$720 thousand was generated from confirmed and preliminary deals at the event.
Silvana Dilly, the superintendent of Assintecal, highlights that the positive participation reflects the growth of the Santa Catarina footwear hub, which produced over 11.1 million pairs last year—a 4% growth compared to 2023. “Naturally, given the growth, companies need to compose their component mix in line with the latest trends in materials, which combine innovation and sustainability,” Silvana evaluates.
With 100 exhibitors, the Santa Catarina fair received 25% more visitors than last year’s event, exceeding the expectations of the São João Batista Footwear Industry Union (Sincasjb), which promoted the event. “The 24th edition of SEINCC was a success in visitation and business. Those who came to the fair left satisfied and made good deals. This growth demonstrates the importance of the fair for the development of the footwear industry, not only in São João Batista but throughout Brazil,” comments the union’s president, Almir dos Santos.
INSPIRAMAIS
In addition to business, Assintecal’s participation featured a pocket edition of INSPIRAMAIS, the showroom that launched over a thousand materials for the fashion industry in July. The exhibition showcased some of the materials launched in tune with the Human research, which presented the market with materials influenced by dance, playfulness, maximalism, nostalgia, and youth culture. Assintecal consultant Joana Dalla Roza coordinated the space.
The following companies participated in Seincc with the support of Assintecal: Excell Company, Reginato Metais, GP Matrizes, Tacosola, Alynis, Ambiente Verde, Plastiluzzi, Vale Têxtil, Sansin, and Artecola.
