A benchmark in supplying components to the footwear industry, FCC, a company from Rio Grande do Sul specializing in adhesives, thermoplastics, and sealants, is strengthening its strategic role in the sector. It is using regional trade shows to build closer relationships with local manufacturers, present innovative solutions, and support the development of the Brazilian production chain.

This month, FCC participated in INSPIRAMAIS nos Polos in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, and will also be present at INSPIRAMAIS in Campina Grande, Paraíba (on the 12th), and at the Santa Catarina Footwear Industry Week (SEINCC) in São João Batista, Santa Catarina (from the 22nd to the 24th), solidifying a circuit of 10 footwear fairs in 2025.

Founded 56 years ago, FCC has a well-established presence in the footwear market: it is found in the most important global sports footwear brands, supplies the 50 largest footwear producers in Brazil, and has developed over 500 dedicated formulations for the sector. Annually, 200 million pairs of shoes are produced with materials developed by FCC, which demonstrates its relevance in the national and international industry. “FCC’s participation in regional fairs allows for practical testing, co-creation of solutions, and quick business closures, bringing the company closer to manufacturers of different sizes and solidifying its position as a strategic partner, not just a supplier of inputs,” says Francisco Gonçalves, FCC’s business director.

Ranked as the most innovative chemical industry in Rio Grande do Sul by the “Champions of Innovation 2025” ranking from Grupo Amanhã, FCC is in the final phase of constructing the first ETPU (expanded thermoplastic polyurethane) factory in Latin America. Used mainly in sports and high-performance footwear soles, ETPU stands out for its lightness, comfort, durability, and flexibility, offering an advanced technological alternative that until now depended on imports. “With ETPU, our clients will have access to superior technology that combines high performance and reduced waste, meeting the growing demand for performance footwear,” says Marcelo Reichert, CEO of FCC.

With automated technology and cutting-edge infrastructure, the new production unit reinforces FCC’s commitment to continuous innovation. In 2025 alone, the company is investing over R$50 million in technology, directly impacting the economic and industrial development of Rio Grande do Sul.
