KS Injetados, a supplier of materials for the footwear industry and headquartered in Parobé/RS, is the newest company to receive certification from Origem Sustentável, the only ESG practices certification program for companies in the footwear production chain in the world. The award ceremony, at the Bronze level (more than 20% of the program’s indicators achieved), took place on the 10th, at the supplier’s headquarters, and was attended by the management of KS Injetados and the Brazilian Association of Leather, Footwear and Artifact Components Companies (Assintecal).

The company’s director, Gabriel Kieling Scalcon, says that sustainability has always been part of KS Injetados’ essence. “Since its founding in 2009, we have adopted practices that reflect our concern for the environment, such as the majority use of recycled materials in our production processes. This choice, made in the early years of the company, was driven by both conviction and responsibility,” he said. Among its notable projects, KS Injetados has recycled over 90% of the materials used in its production process. “This not only reduces environmental impact, but also contributes to the circular economy, ensuring that resources are reused efficiently and with reduced costs for the business,” explains the director.

According to Scalcon, the certification process helped the company implement more efficient processes, which resulted in a significant reduction in waste and continuous improvement of the production chain. “This not only generated cost savings, but also strengthened our reputation in the market as a company committed to environmental responsibility. These actions have been fundamental in attracting customers who value sustainability,” he adds.
