The Brazilian Association of Leather, Footwear and Artifacts Components Companies (Assintecal), through Brazilian Materials, promoted jointly with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) to increase the internationalization of the sector, will take five groups of foreign buyers to Fimec. The fair, which is expected to bring together around 400 companies from the basic industry for the production of leather and footwear, will take place between March 18 and 20, at Fenac, in Novo Hamburgo/RS.

Assintecal's International Market Manager, Luiz Ribas Júnior, highlights that the Buyer Project will include business rounds between exhibiting companies and international buyers from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico. “The Latin American market, due to its geographical proximity and cultural similarities, is very important for exporting components for footwear production. Therefore, we selected some of the main groups in the region, which come to Fimec looking for uppers, synthetic laminates, leathers, insoles, chemical products, heels, soles, among other materials produced with excellence in our country.” Together, the five groups produce more than 550 thousand pairs of shoes per month.

The 48th International Fair of Leather, Chemical Products, Components, Machinery and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries (Fimec) will take place from March 18 to 20, from 1 pm to 8 pm, and will offer more than 10 thousand m² of exhibition space, bringing together companies in the leather, chemical products, components, machinery, equipment and technologies for footwear and tanneries. Registration is open on the website www.fimec.com.br.
